Built Right in Montana offers new home construction as well as home renovations and remodels in the Flathead Valley area and Northwest Montana. Our new home construction services include design consultations as well as full construction and general contracting services. We can look at your existing layout and remodel it or add additional square footage to it, perfectly tailored to your needs.

Our journey began in 1997 with a simple mission: to provide Montana homeowners with a building experience rooted in integrity, transparency, and superior craftsmanship. For over 25 years Built Right Montana has designed and built luxury homes and provided high-end remodel work for home owners across Northwest Montana.

Founded in 1997 by Master Builder Shan Davis, owned by Shan and Carmen Davis, with superintendent Zayne Davis on every site, Built Right In Montana brings over 140 years of combined team experience to every job site.

We separate the journey into two clear phases: pre-construction planning and construction. Before construction begins, we help define the project, evaluate the property, organize the design direction, and prepare the build for success: idea and consultation, land and site review, design and architecture, budgeting and financing, and permits and approvals. Then our team coordinates each phase of construction: site prep and foundation, framing, dried-in and rough-ins, interior and exterior finishes, and the final walkthrough and closing.

Yes. From napkin sketch to buildable plan, Built Right in Montana helps refine early ideas into precise, practical, and lasting homes. Led by Shan Davis, who brings certified AutoCAD drafting experience and decades of hands-on construction knowledge, we help clients avoid the expensive problems that often come from less-vetted plans. It is far cheaper to move a wall with an eraser than a sledgehammer.

We read what you sent, then a member of our team calls you back, usually the same business day. If you filled in the project questionnaire, we already know your land, your plans and your timing before we pick up the phone. From there we schedule a site visit, and after a pre-construction agreement we set the design, the budget and the schedule together. Nothing before that is a commitment.
